  1. Thanks, David, you are the first one to wish me a Hippo Birdie this year.

Good posts on the Tragedy involving the Steven Curtis Chapman family, and how it relates to similar tragedys that occur daily in our world. It pains us to see how cruel people can be who are involved in child trafficing and how greed controls so many actions. I even question our actions in Iraq as we are willing to sacrifice innocent civilians there for the purpose of stopping “world terrorism”. I often reflect on the injustices that we have in health care and allocation of food and resources that are so abundent here but are always scarce in your area of the world.

Your blogging helps keep these injustices in your readers minds, and helps us see that there is more that we can do to help.

    Love you,

    DAD

  2. Thanks. That’s a nice image, a lingapotamus flying over England’s green and pleasant land. Well, the picture may in fact be a Canadian prairie, but you get the idea.

  3. Nice flying hippo. I love your blog! Thanks for working to translate God’s Word so that everyone can read it. Such important work.

Blessings to you and yours, and Happy Birthday to the Birthday guys.

  4. Uh, thanks Dad. We just figured out that it’s not your birthday until August! I’ve never been very good at dates… Benjamin saw “Grandfather” on 26 May but it was referring to Hilary’s Grandfather and then… the confusion just multiplied! Translation consulting ended today so maybe I’ll have my head on straight now.
